THE Trip, Onward to Norman and Oklahoma

Copyright 2010, CABS for Reflections From the Fence

After our few days off the road for Thanksgiving, we pointed Big Butt's nose Southwest and headed to OOOOOOKKKKKKlahoma!  Norman to be specific.  I 44 southwest through Tulsa, pay the tolls, and welcome to OK

Ah, ha, got that one at 60 MPH!
We had two items on our agenda at Norman, the World Organization of China Painters in OK City (which I will blog about in detail soon, genie related, ooo, it was a fun visit for Man and I) AND, a visit with Man's Navy bud, D and his lovely wife, M.  When we arrived we discovered a small booboo on Tana (another post in my future).

We had a wonderful visit with D & M both evenings.  Good food, good friends, lot of lie telling stories, laughter, memory lane visits.  Thank you both so very much for the entire visit.

Moi, Navy Bud D and Man

D loves old cars, and is collecting a few, he took us to his "shop/storage building" and we got to see his prizes.  What fun, nice cars there D.

And D even gave Man a ride, the temps were mmmmm, brisk, but Man really enjoyed this.

The visit was much too short, but immensely enjoyed!  Thanks again D & M.

Sounds like a very nice visit. I love that last picture of the guys in the car. It might be fun to mess around with it and make it look like a vintage black and white photo.

What a beautiful car. Man looks so happy to be going somewhere, anywhere in that lovely car.

Bet you were more than pleased to see that Oklahoma line. Fabulous pix, once again. Nice car's a bit of a an understatement.

Oklahoma is on my list of genealogy research destinations - lots of Brinlee action there. I'll be following closely to see what neat things there are to see and do there. And I'm drooling over that car.

Girl, you skipped Arkansas!! HA. Sounds like you and Man are having a ball now that the weather is behaving a bit. Can't wait to hear about the china painting!
