Do you know what it looks like growing in the wild? Friend D spied this and knew right off, then, she realized, this one had berries. For real! She did not remember every seeing mistletoe growing anywhere with berries. I know I have not. Even better it was hanging very low, easy to get photos of. You can see from the first photo it hides very well in the host plant.
Closer:
Nope, this is not that smashed up little packet of mistletoe you buy at the checkout counter of your local store, this is the real deal!
And, you just know that neither couple passed up this chance, kissing under the mistletoe in Big Bend National Park.
Merry Christmas!

I saw that last photo! Thanks for the smile.
Mistletoe is pretty common here in north central Texas. I can stand under the tree in the backyard and kiss. :)
I would never have recognize mistletoe in the wild. I especially enjoyed the opportunity for a Christmas kiss. Merry Christmas, Carol.
