Walter Thomas Dickon's obituary was found at the McHenry County Historical Society library, McHenry County, Illinois, handwritten date of January 19, 1987, no indication of the newspaper:
"Walter T. Dickson
Walter Thomas Dickson, 90, of Manhattan Beach, Calif., formerly of Harvard, died Friday, Jan. 16, 1987, at his home.
He was born Oct. 11, 1896, in Dunham, Township, Ill., son of Jacob and Caroline (Miller) Dickson.
He was a machinist at R. & E. Engineering, Los Angeles, for 22 years. He was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by a nephew, Emery Nowak, Jr., Waukegan, and a niece, June Downey, Zephyrhills, Fla.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday at South Dunham Cemetery, Harvard, with Rev. Arne E. Peterson officiating."

sad obit, no 'real' family...there are too many older people in this world who are all alone. Appreciate your family!
