THE Trip, Packing Frenzy

Copyright 2010, CABS for Reflections From the Fence

Getting closer and closer. The packing project is reaching the frenzy stage.

Dog food and meds procured and stowed in Tana. It really stinks having to tote 6 to 9 months of dog food around, but, when vets in other states will not (or cannot by law) honor my vet's written prescriptions, what else can we do, but, purchase a lot and haul it around? Thank goodness they are small dogs and even tho I have a LOT of dog food out there, they don't eat much at each meal! LOL

The frig is on, the groceries purchased Friday, for the most part, went out there. I am still fussing over files (I am planning on that many times promised stop in Salt Lake City.  Someone has been promising a stop in SLC for so long that I think that someone owes me, ohhhhh, a month???) File decisions are the hardest decisions to make.

Laundry is for the most part done. Still cleaning and organizing and both will go on till we lock the front door on the stick built and head Big Butt and Tana out the drive, heading out on THE Trip.

Time to pack some more, no square inch of storage space shall go unfilled!

* Is that music getting louder??  I think it is, do you hear it too??  Willie (Nelson), you singing to us? ?

"On the road again -

Just can't wait to get on the road again.
The life I love is making music with my friends

And I can't wait to get on the road again.
On the road again

Goin' places that I've never been.
Seein' things that I may never see again"

Sing on Willie!

It's amazing how much can be packed in the Montana. I had way more food, especially canned goods but somehow, we got it all in with room to spare. A little creative organizing goes a long way. Love the storage space in those things. Don't envy the frenzy you are going through right now. Been there! Done that! Now time to relax!!!

Sounds fun...we are planning to get away from the heat next summer. We've never done this before for more than a couple weeks..but this will be 6-8 weeks. We don't have an RV but we do have an SUV...should be interesting. We'll do some camping, some staying with friends, some moteling. Going east to where ever the wind will take us. Looking forward to reading about your trip and where it takes you.

Should be loads of fun, but watch out for snow. Happy Trails and keep us posted on almost every turn. Stay safe.
