Tombstone Tuesday, Our 16th President

Copyright 2010, CABS for Reflections From the Fence

The Tomb, as the sun sets,
glowing golden.

Abraham Lincoln is buried 10 feet and a slightly
in back of this monument inscribed with
his name and birth and death years.
The Lincoln Tomb is at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, Illinois.

There is a great deal of detail and information about the Lincoln Tomb at this Wikipedia page.

Man and I spent the last hour or so of our visit to Springfield at Lincoln's tomb and driving around the cemetery.  We felt it was a fitting, quiet, peaceful end to an educational and moving day.

And he is buried in solid concrete thanks to grave robbers.
