Wish I could report something new, but alas, drip, pour, drip, repeat ad nauseam. Rained all night and all morning. It is now 10 am and we are both still in bed and I have not had my coffee.

We are over the rain, but are thankful for Alaska.

Today is laundry and errands day. Clean it all up for the next chapter of this trip.

About noon the first of 25 rigs in a caravan arrived and went directly to the “car wash”.  As of 4, they are still washing.  This caravan came out of Yukon via the Top of the World Road, and many are sorry they did.  They could not see a thing since the fog was so thick, couldn’t even see the sign announcing they were on the road.

They are working as a team to wash all those big rigs, most with a toad (towed vehicle) that is more dirty than the RV. There are going to be a lot of to the bone sore and dead tired bodies tonight. One guy was telling Man his car wash was free.  Man was quoted at least $30.00 to wash The Estate.  Charged by the foot.

The sun actually came out for an hour, while I was finishing the laundry. I’m just greedy enough to have enjoyed each second of it.

Still washing rigs at 4:45 when we leave to fill the food coffers.  There were still several rigs in line at 6:00, but I cannot be certain they were from the same caravan.

We ran out and fueled up and hit the grocery store for some last minute supplies, tomorrow we cross into the Yukon - -
