Woke to a real sun rising. Crappy photo.

It is so quiet here. I can hear a bird singling 1/2 mile away!

Pulled out about 10:45ish.

Kulane Lake is soooo still. For an area know for its fierce winds, I think we just saw a most unusual phenomena.

Almost like glass!  Amazing.

Surveyor pushing golf bag/cart with wheels. Clever way to tote around all those poles with ease. Saves ones back.

Frost heaves are now minimal.

I became enthralled with these clouds, the shapes, the underlying power.

Stopped Haines Junction to get on the net.  Had lunch at Frosty’s. Yum!  While munching away, Man picked up a travel brochure and it now looks like we are changing our itinerary. Skagway.

1:30. Ooopsie, construction. Sat at this one for 23 minutes waiting for the pilot truck. About 8 minutes to get through and get back up to speed, errrrr dust!

Stopped at Canyon Creek bridge.

At the rest area in Whitehorse we pulled off reservations for a 12 hour ferry ride from Skagway to Juneau and back. We can take Sir W, the seriously small lap dog, with us.  We snagged the last campsite in the campground next to the ferry. We believe that is the 4th or 5th time this trip that we have snagged the last campsite. Yes, we giggle.

Emerald Lake. The pictures do NOT do this justice.  It took my breath away!  The green was amazing!

Drove 200 miles today

Stopped Carcross. Seriously interesting place.  And, I had for the first time in a long time, some seriously great light.  I walked cross the street and took these be still my heart - -  And, this was my view all night long, cept, there was a street and a building in the way, but, not much and I was ecstatic.
