Full Moon Sunset :: Winter Sojourn 2014/15

Copyright 2015, CABS for Reflections From the Fence

Tonight was a full moon.  Sunset comes early to Needles California.  I actually missed the low hung moon because we were in a store.  SIGH  (The up side of that is I got pizza for dinner and some fabulous smelling body wash.  And, NO, I did not eat the body wash, even tho it smells of heavenly orange.)

As soon as we got back home, I ran out to the desert and took these:

The moon tucked in behind a few thin clouds:

Sad that I had missed the low hung moon over the mountains, I went and ate my pizza.  Then, I came back out and walked back out to the desert floor, sure glad I did:

I don't believe I have ever tried a panoramic sunset before.  I think I like it.

We've had times, where you could catch the moon on its way down and the sun coming up at the same time. I love those wide open spaces.
