The Supermoon Over Gold Canyon Arizona

Copyright 2011, CABS for Reflections From the Fence

A cloud, dusty day turned into a cloudy evening and I figured, well, that's it, no Supermoon for this gal.  I was inside fussing with other photos when Mr. G (our sick yorkie who is having a pretty rough week) needed to go outside.  I discovered that the clouds had pretty much dissipated, and I literally ran for the Sony.  A few photos I held by hand with that handy dandy hand held twilight feature, then I spied the electrical box in back of Tana.  I used the electrical box for a tripod of sorts for the greatest number of these photos.  I used every setting on Sony except panoramic and movie.  Even manual settings set where ever they are currently set. All photos were resized, none were tweaked in any other manner, they are presented in the order taken.

Supermoon over Arizona, SUPER indeed!

Good work! What a nice variety of shots you were able to put together in one shooting.

Very nice and to think the moon I saw in the east was just like yours. It was special seeing it, and your pictures are great.

Clouds here and we had not even a glimpse. Should have known our "eyes" in the southwest would save the day. Lovely.

Great photos Carol! Wish I'd thought to set up my tripod and get some photos! Maybe tonight, although the moon won't be quite so big...

Carol, thanks for posting the nice moon pictures...we didn't get a chance to see it through the hazy cloud cover....oh well, we'll plan to see it again in 18 years.

Glad the clouds cleared in time! I wonder why the super moon was more super in some places than others?
