THE Trip, THE Encore' :: On to Fortuna California

Copyright 2014, CABS for Reflections From the Fence

May 18, 2013, a short trip from Benbow to Fortuna California.  We drive through tall stands of trees, we are impressed by the height and will remember just how tall they are and compare months later as we cross the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on our way home.  The difference is remarkable.

I love bridges and the next several weeks will give me many to photograph, different, interesting, old, new, ahhhh.

And a few miles up the road, another, running right beside the roadway, for a different angle, view.

This is what greeted us as we arrived in the campground, what???  I'll show you later.

Man and I decided we needed a bit of a walk, so, off we went, seeking exercise and found some, plus, beauty.  Remember this is in mid May in northern California.

Along the Eel River we found this delightful park, love the art hanging in the gazebo.

Wildflowers abound.

I found this Lazuli Bunting, who appeared on Flora and Fauna on June 1, 2013.

Sea Oats:

On the way back to Tana, oh, sighhhh, pink!

Coming soon, the Lost Coast of California.  What a day that was!  More stunning views.
