Reflection Quick Notes, I am Headed to the Garden

It rained here, over 4 inches worth, on Friday.  Yesterday was one of those mixing days, a little sun, then more clouds, then some spitting moisture (is that Mother Nature saying 'blah'??).  I spent most of the day surfing over at FamilySearch, filling in some MIA data and finding some marriages in places where I did not expect to.  Oh, and my to do list grew, of course, now I want IMAGES to go with those dates!

Today, is sunny and, yep, it is gonna be warm (maybe even hot), but, I am going to try to do some yard work and gardening anyway.

Tomorrow is Karen's turn for Relatively Speaking.  I just know she has something interesting to tell us, she has been away researching and cemetery stomping (in the rain) all week.  Can't wait to read what she has to say.

In the meantime, a columbine from my flower beds, I love columbine, but, they sure don't stay where you put them!

Carol, now I need to take pictures of my blue columbine. Gotta keep up with you. You sure had a lot of rain, so glad it stayed away from us.

Columbines - my favourites - it will be several weeks before my Scottish ones do anything much so it's lovely to see yours :-)

Columbines are one of my favorite flowers (the other favorite being iris). How delicate-looking they are.

I love columbines, but mine are quivering and shivering in cold ground --- when o when will we ever have spring?

The flower with reddish leaves is Red Dead Nettle, or Red Archangel. (Lamium purpureum)

A near neighbour has some as a ground cover. It seems a bit invasive. (we live in the country - "near neighbour" means about a mile away).

Thought you guys might know the name of my invasive ground cover. Thanks. My Red Dead Nettle, is now, sorta, dead. If it was growing in a flower bed, or something like that, it met the wrath of the weed eliminator!

But, I still enjoyed the beauty close up.

Then, I eliminated! LOL
