I really need a LOT more coffee before my brain will kick out all these relationships. Got charts anyone??
From the January 27, 1897 issue of the Michigan Messenger, Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan:
"A little over two years ago there was a wedding in Rollin, when the bride was made to call her grandmother mother-(in-law). Now there is a new complication, for at Cadmus in the home of the said bride, Mrs. Willis Post, (nee Elnora Sloan) is a baby girl who will call Mrs. N.S. Post, (nee Mrs. Murphy) great grandmamma, or what shall it be. Oh, of course, L.L. Sloan and wife are proud to be just plain grandpa and grandma."
*This article will be part of a new book I am formatting for the Lenawee County Family Researchers, "Michigan Messenger, Volume III, 1897 - 1897". Available date will depend on how this formatting stuff comes along, when I get back to SE Michigan and how it all looks when I run a test print of it.
