Horseshoe Bend, Page Arizona, A Photographic Playground :: Winter Sojourn 2014/15

Copyright 2015, CABS for Reflections From the Fence

Today, we arrived at Page Arizona, and gained an hour!  Yipee.  After grabbing some fast food and setting Tana up for the next week's stay, we decided to go see what this Horseshoe Bend was all about.

Well, yikes.  The 3/4 mile hike in did not bother us too much.  But, they neglected to reveal that it was a steep hill up and then a  LONG (but, not so steep) hill down.  And, of course, you had to reverse that to get back to Jolly for our ride home.

It was so worth it.

Here is what Sony Too normally captures, isn't it gorgeous???

Then, I decided to try something totally different.  Three panoramics, letting my photo editing program stitch them together.

Lookie here, isn't this fun??

I was not sure I could even get this to work.  Sure was fun!

Whow! That is amazing. I can't imagine being there in person. My experience in the west is limited to crossing the rockies in the train or car.

The picture on my blog page is of Horseshoe Bend. The first time we visited it, it was 106 degrees. I was so glad we didn't quit before we got there. We also did Slot Canyon. It's even better.
Page is one of Arizona's best kept secrets. Enjoy....
