Prayers For Flipside and Aric

Copyright 2012, CABS for Reflections From the Fence

Fellow blogger and friend, Linda Hughes Hiser, from the blog, Flipside, lost her son last night to liver failure and complications.

Aric fought a long battle, with a loving family and significant others surrounding him.

I am going to do something here that is probably a bit questionable as far as copyright issues, and I hope that Linda and her family will not object.  This appeared on Linda's facebook wall a few days ago, yes, I lifted the photo.  I also have lifted the caption that came with it.   I was moved deeply, and repeat it here, as the best way I can think of to celebrate and Linda, Aric and their wonderful family.  Posted by Ken Hughes:

"Lin in a time of devotion at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Unity Temple in Oak Park, IL.

At one point she called out, “Do you hear music?” Neither Jeff nor I did. “I’m hearing music.” But by the time we got down to her, it had stopped.

Later at the hospital she recounted the story. Jeannine asked, “When did that occur?” Amazingly (or not, depending upon your beliefs!) at the moment Lin was hearing music in the temple, Aric awoke in his hospital bed declaring, “I hear the music of the universe, I hear the music of the universe!”

What an awesome spiritual experience… the undeniable connection between a mother and her son."

Rest in Peace, Aric.  You were well loved.  Peace to Linda and her family in this sad sad time.

Thank you for sharing this with us Carol. May Linda find peace in the knowledge of that 'universal' connection, one which surely will never be broken. My most heartfelt condolences to Linda and her family, and my deepest praise to you for being such a good friend to her.
