Note from prior days - - You know it’s windy when Butterfly ear rings almost take off in flight, from ears.

On road at 9:04. Retrace steps about 15 miles to get to north park.

3 deer on expressway way just as we get on. Ohhh, they kill antelope here on the expressways too.  Sadly.

Oil rigs, frequently 2 , sometimes 3 rigs right next to each other.

National Grasslands, drove by.

But, we knew we were getting close when we saw geology like this:

Sure nuff:

Theodore Roosevelt National Park north unit. Bison. Lunch in The Estate at the River Bend Overlook.  And, the photos!!

This guy goes camping/Rving in style - - two rigs, one towing the second:

Man holding up the rock and the park!  LOL  Just kidding.

A panoramic, wayyyyy down there is the Little Missouri River, making a oxbow shape - -

One of several we saw - - there are actually two here, just one is so large he covers our view of the second.

Name unknown:

Can you see the burnt sections?

Man loves structures like this:

This is quite interesting, the entire hill slid down.  They plowed lots of dirt off the road, the slide started wayyyy up this hill:

Here they come, walking right down the road at us.  We just stopped and waited for them to meander by - -

Both were bulls, for the record - -

Route change. Up to Williston and route 2 towards Glacier.

Grasslands and oil rigs, very few trees, gently rolling hills, but long grades.

Ooopsie. Our first construction delay. And it’s a looloo. Shoulda timed it. Sigh.  It was the first of several, the last was really snarly, they were off loading two large concrete bridge trusses. Not a lot of room to get around and in the midst of it one of the 18-wheelers broke down.

Been on the road a week. We are in Montana.

Home for the night - -

This is the view from our door  - - cottonwood trees and trains!  Some of our favs!!

After arrival we found one of those pesky leaks.  It’s in the shower. We took the faucet assembly apart. Hand tightened stuff. No water damage in the wall. Thought we had it. Put back together. Yep. It still leaks. Sigh.  Decided to have a 5 o’clock and some dinner.  The leak will wait.

290 miles today, 1565 from home.

Just as I was finishing this post, I stepped out and saw - -
