After a slower day yesterday, we are up and at em before 8. It’s a miracle!  On the road by 9:43.

Torrential rain late yesterday afternoon. This morning winds out of due west at 17. Yep, we have had wind and/or rain almost every day so far. Mother Nature is really being snarky all cross the USA.

We stopped at a rest area, near what was called Apple Creek, North Dakota.  There were gas pumps.

Lunch was at Sunset Inn, near the town of New Salem.  There was a big cow on a hill nearby.

Windy driving continues. Hold the throttle Carol. Hold on tight.

Landscape is slowly changing to rolling hills with some interesting medium sized geological beauties. Cones. Small plateaus.  This must be a glacier dump area. The farmers collect stones and rocks and toss them in piles in the fields and plow and plant around the piles. Some fields have quite a few piles.  No photos. I was driving.

We stopped at Painted Canyon Visitors Center, part of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park.  Pretty place - -

Saw this blooming along the walkway, have no idea what it is, but, it is pretty - -

When we went back to get in The Estate, we spied this other Coachman parked next to us.  The Estate is on the left and a similar, but, larger unit on the right.  I am very happy to be driving the smaller unit.  What a difference!  Even I am impressed.

Mountain time zone.  That makes two new zones in less than a week.  We are time travelers.

Medora.  Snowing cottonwood.

We have a train and a view. Not red. But heavenly nonetheless.  The awning at the top, waving at this nice view.

We are in Medora, for one night.  Tomorrow, the North Unit of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

233 miles today.
