Birthday Observances, Lorena Estelle Dews Nunnally

Lorena Estelle Dews Nunnally was born on January 8, 1901 at Kempsville, Princess Anne County, Virginia to William Henry Dews and his wife Lorena Estelle Eley Norsworthy Dews.   Lorena was known as Rena to some of her family and as Susie to others in her family.

On 18 Sep 1917 in Norfolk County, Virginia, Lorena married Robert Harrison (Rush) Nunnally.  Rena and Rush met in the boarding house her mother ran, as related in yesterday's post, Treasure Chest Thursday, Lorena's Boarding House Boudoir Chair.

Rush and Rena had one daughter, Norma Marie, who died in infancy.

Rena died on 29 Mar 1989 in Norfolk Virginia and is interred at Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk, Virginia.  Her memorial at Find A Grave is here.
