Leaving Skagway this morning. We have enjoyed this “change our minds” part of the trip so much.

We were on the road about 9 when we realized the charge cards needed to be paid and we are headed to questionable internet lands for ?? Long??  So we pulled over in town to pay them.

And, now we are off, Man driving, Carol shooting a lot of photos, and look at that blue sky!!

4 minutes the scenery changes, dramatically.

At the top, we changed drivers.  The customs agent at the Canadian border didn’t seem to like my answer to his question, "what are you doing in Canada?"  My answer, "typical tourist stuff."  Ooopsie. Asked if we were smuggling anything. Ha. Ha. Ha.  Any Cannabis in any form?  Etc.  No doggie questions. No food questions.

Onward.  Time change again. Back to Pacific time zone.

We stopped at the Yukon Suspension Bridge. We had actually stopped on the way into Skagway, but, did not stay.  We decided we really needed to do this.  So, we did!

Man goes first, of  course, and waives to me.

There he is, down in the middle of that LONG bridge, it is 200 ft long and stretches 57 ft over the Tutshi River Canyon.

OK, here I go.  I'm not much for heights of this kind, but, I watched Man walking and it did not "wiggle" a lot, so away I go - -

Looking northward - -

He always is interested in how stuff works or is built - -

Still looking at construction on the way back - -

We went into a lunchroom/museum and they had this train running round the room up high. I'm a sucker for toy trains.  Oh, and it is named the White Pass.  Of course - -

The gorgeous drive continues, again, I say, the prettiest we have been on during this trip, course, I could see this one, no smoke or clouds or rain. Makes a difference.

Black bear ran out in front of us.  Man moved over and hit the brakes hard enough to move gear around in the basement. I moved the 140 pound Splendide in Tana once when I braked a bit hard, so I have no criticism. The bear ran back into the woods, it’s all good.

We return you to the scenery - -

I note that in the few days since we drove into Skagway the yellows are popping on some of the bushes and trees, fall is on the way - -

Carcross.  Dumped and filled with fresh water.  Fuel. Sourdough bakery. Late lunch. Visitors center. Started to rain. Totem poles.

Carcross Desert a few photos as it was raining.

Took Tagish Road cut off. Rained. And then we drove out of it.

Colored foxes on side of road. 3 of them. No photo.

Drove through Teslin Lake Provincial Park, decided to keep on going.

Ended up near Continental Divid store/gas station/ restaurant/ RV Park about 1120 km from Dawson Creek, where the Alaskan Highway begins.  Fuel was high. Campsite $35.00 for electric and no promise of WiFi. We drove back 2 miles and parked on the side of the road for free. There were 3 other rigs here, 2 were young families. No Wifi.  Quiet.  Free.

Man took a walk and snapped this photo of The Estate.  Pretty sky!

Dinner. Fed Sir W. Laid down. I’m tired. 243 miles today.  I took over 235 photos today, give this girl some good light and she will snap away.  LOL No connectivity for most of the day, and none tonight.  A good day.
