Fraser River and Canyon, Hope British Columbia: The Estate Takes on Alaska

Early rise, want to get on the road early, so, we are pulling out of camp a few minutes before 9.

The scenery changes again, it gets more and more dry, almost like we are in a desert.

This was quite interesting, the train tracks over there - - tunnels are self explanatory - -that other structure, (this is my guestimate) keeps falling rock off the train and tracks.

Then, it turns dramatic again, back to curves, slow  driving, hills, ever greens, deep chasms, rivers and tunnels.  I lost count after about 6 tunnels.

Two sets of rail road tracks run along the river and roadway.  We see several trains.

This stop was stunningly beautiful, the teal water, just gorgeous - -

With a pretty flower - -

Thompson River and then Fraser River.  Frazier Canyon. Hells Gate tram.  Since we all know how I feel about trams (NEVER AGAIN after Palm Springs), there was no way I was going on this.  Man declined, I think to be nice to me.  He should have gone!  LOL No photos.

A campground reservation for tonight does not pan out so we stop in Hope British Columbia.  I spy a campground right along the river, only 29 sites, many without electric, but, we snag one that does have electric and we spend the rest of the afternoon resting, surfing, blogging, reading and looking out at the river flowing by.  It is a wide and fast running, this Fraser River.

140 miles today.
