This continues a series of posts, done in a very efficient (make that speedy fast) manner to share some research on the ancestors. This is NOT intended to be the end all to end all report. It's a work in progress, to show you what I have found, right or wrong. Kind feedback is welcomed via comments.
This unidentified, or "Unknown" Franklin child has been languishing in my data base for decades. Really. Just like this:
My notes indicated little more than we knew his mother had 4 children, 3 living as of the 1900 census enumeration and 7 children, 6 surviving, as of the 1910 census enumeration. I placed "Unknown" between children where there was a 4-5 year gap in birth dates of known children, as shown in this family chart.
You might note that there are few facts on any of this family. My project was to change that, I am happy to report, I did.
While searching for Harry and Isabelle on Find A Grave, I found, I believe, my missing child:
This burial is in Jenkins County, I will point out that in 1900 the family lived in Screven County, Georgia, 1910 they lived in Coffee County, Georgia and in 1920 they lived in Ware County, Georgia. Sometime after that they moved to Florida.
Generally speaking, death records in Georgia do not start for years, till around 1914. I checked for possible birth records at FamilySearch dot org and found nothing.
King David Franklin does have a Find A Grave memorial, # 102222060, he even has a headstone, inscribed:
"Son of H & ID Franklin".
By the way, the photo is excellent quality. Nice!
Legacy does not like the name King David, it considers the "King" part to be a title in the name field. Ooopsie.

I have not found any newspaper articles, yet.
For now, Unknown is now King David. Back with his family, at least in my data base.

* Disclaimers, I use Find A Grave, Ancestry dot com, FamilySearch, several newspaper subscriptions, free sites, such as Virginia Chronicles, Virginia Chancery Cases online at the Library of Virginia and more to research my ancestors. I pay for subscriptions, full price.

*** Links, URL's, for the most part will not be included henceforth on my posts, as so many of them change and then I have to come back and try to re-discover and relink. Frankly folks, I have no desire to spend my limited time here on this side of the sod with those kinds of do overs. As researchers, or just members of the internet community, sites such as Find A Grave are easy to find, some are free to use and with the information I am sharing with you, hopefully, you can duplicate the research/findings. That said, I have seen memorials at Find A Grave be removed. If you have questions, I suggest you leave a nice comment for me. OR find the method I have outlined on my blog for contacting me.
