June 17, 2013, Oregon virtualy revisited. NO, we are not in Oregon today.
Near Fort Stevens, on a popular and well used beach we find, the Peter Iredale wreck. You can read more about the area on the Oregon State Park web site.
Looking south it is a rather inviting beach:
And, the wreck, or what we could see at that time of day on June 17, 2013. The Peter Iredale was a four-masted steel barque sailing vessel that ran ashore October 25, 1906.
We actually saw people climbing all over the wreck, all the way to the top. Always a few daredevils.
